| V. Kumaraswami Head-Operations, Sundaram Business Services Kumar is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the various business units comprising SBS to deliver the services contracted with customers under the respective Service Level Agreements. Kumar spent the early part of his life in the United Kingdom and after his education at Cheadle Moseley Grammar School and Manchester Polytechnic, he joined Bank of Credit and Commerce International in 1976. He worked in the bank's Advances and Documentary Credits section in Manchester and London before moving back to Chennai in late 1988. Kumar joined Sundaram Finance in June 1989 in Hire Purchase Operations. He worked in both field and back-office operations after which he was transferred to the company's Fixed Deposits section. In May 1991 he joined the Leasing division and was entrusted with responsibilities in Lease marketing, documentation and receivables management. In 2000, after a year heading the company's Fixed Deposits section, he was part of the team, which made a foray into Shared Services leading to the creation of Sundaram Business Services in July 2001. |
